Millions of Americans do not know any heart attack symptoms. That is astonishing considering about 805,000 Americans have a heart attack each year and 15% die from it. So why do we not know more? Why are we not being proactive and taking a CPR First Aid course? Isn't 5 hours out of you life better than losing your life?
Here are a few symptoms to look for that might save your life.
1. chest pain. ok classic sign however many people ignore this and brush is off as indigestion. Pain from a heart attach can strike during physical activity as well as rest.
2. Radiating pain in your arm. Most common in the left arm but can be right or both arms. This pain is due too the decreased blood flow to the heart.
3. Neck and Jaw Pain. Radiating pain to the left side of the neck jaw can be a symptom of a heart attack. The pain is typically described as a tightness, pressure, or ache in the neck or jaw.
4. Fatigue
5. Dizziness or feeling light headed
6. Shortness of Breath
These are just a few of the symptoms of heart attack. Our bodies tell us when things are not right. Pay attention to the signals your body sends and don't be afraid to go to the ER if you feel like something is not right. Its better to me safe than sorry.
